Negotiation is a language that we should all learn to speak, for it is essential to our daily lives. Resisting this premise is counter-productive, and failing to maximize your potential to learn this language is a missed opportunity that compounds daily. And those of us who speak it fluently can always find ways to improve, think about negotiation in new ways, and thereby enrich our interactions in both adversarial and collaborative contexts.
